ASMS: FULLY AUTOMATIC WELDING MACHINES FOR THE PRECISE PRODUCTION OF CIRCULAR REINFORCEMENT CAGES FOR CONCRETE PIPES WITH OR WITHOUT BELL AND SPIGOT END
The machines in the ASMS series are designed for the continuous production of resistance spot welded reinforcement cages with or without bell socket in any length for a wide range of pipe diameters.
The replacement of wire coils can be carried out without interrupting production. The use of standard coils allows the highest productivity.
The fully automated production process on the ASMS machines can be supervised by a single operator.
All necessary parameters of the cage, such as different angles and winding wire pitches, etc. are fully programmable.
Cage production is continuous and fully automatic. Welding is effected by a welding head which rotates around the cage. The cages are manufactured in a horizontal position and do not rotate during production.
The longitudinal wires are drawn from coils at the rear of the machine and as these are being advanced, the windiing wire drawn from the reel rotating around the cage welding ring is being continuously fed onto the electrodes and spot welded to them by the rotating welding unit.
It is possible to provide an automatic shear to cut the cages to length while the machine is running.
